Herne Road is the town’s established cemetery and includes St Thomas’ Chapel, which may be available for private services by arrangement.
Summersales opened in 2025. It includes areas for coffin and cremated-remains interments, a natural burial meadow, family grave areas, a place for scattering cremated remains and a room that can be hired for a memorial service.
These choices are subject to the council’s current regulations, eligibility, fees and availability. We can make the provisional booking and help complete the necessary paperwork.
