These charges are set by independent crematorium operators. They are normally paid by us on the customer’s behalf and shown as a third-party cost on the funeral estimate. We do not add a mark-up to crematorium disbursements.

2. How to read the prices
- Standard-fee attended service
- A cremation with mourners present during a standard or peak-time service slot.
- Reduced-fee attended service
- A cremation with mourners present at an eligible off-peak time or in another reduced-price slot.
- Unattended service
- A cremation without a ceremony at the crematorium and without mourners present.
Availability is subject to the operator’s booking rules. A published slot may include time needed for mourners to enter and leave, rather than all of it being available for the ceremony.

6. Price changes and estimates
Crematorium operators control these prices and may amend them. We review the published information when an operator notifies us of a change and before relying on it for a funeral estimate.
The written estimate provided for a funeral will show the charge applicable to the selected crematorium, service, date and time. If an operator changes a charge before the funeral, we will explain the change as soon as reasonably practicable.
The individual written estimate takes priority if it contains a more recent verified operator charge than this page.
